Learn about material design, manufacturing, sustainability, and product prototyping using the Vacuum forming technique in this workshop hosted by Edutech. Participants used the FormBox to recycle plastic bags into various objects.

The aim of this workshop was to explore the issue of the long lifetime of plastics and the challenges associated with recycling them. Participants learnt about Vacuum forming manufacturing technique.

Participants learnt about Material Design, Manufacturing, Sustainability, Product Prototyping using Vacuum forming technique. Each participant used the FormBox to recycle plastic bags into various objects. They learnt about vacuum forming technique to create products. They learnt about bioplastics and how some materials like PLA have the properties of plastics but are made from renewable resources. The whole theme of the thermoforming workshop is on how we can reduce, reuse and recycle plastics.
