Natalya Konforti of Glitches & Stitches leads an introduction to bookbinding and embroidery workshop during which participants build their own unique sketchbooks; an essential tool to the creative process.

During this one-hour session, participants are invited to create miniature sketchbooks, taking ownership of an object in which their imagination and inspiration can be rendered. Following an introduction to basic needlework techniques, participants will select a pattern from the collection to embroider on fabric covers before mounting and binding their sketchbook.

Designer and artist Natalya Konforti is known for the creativity-centred workshops she hosts around Dubai.

Glitches & Stitches is a homegrown brand focused on promoting the value of craftsmanship and artisanal skills. In addition to a capsule collection of hand-embellished textile accessories, G&S also hosts a number of creativity-based workshops in Dubai such as textile printing, hand embroidery and natural cosmetics.
Launched in 2018, G&S is the brainchild of designer Natalya Konforti. After spending 8 years in China’s fast fashion industry designing garments manufactured by the hundreds of thousands, she yearned for the soul & personality of artisanal craftsmanship. Upon moving to Dubai Natalya decided to leverage the skills she had honed to help other ‘design junkies’ become self-sufficient.
