Jarra is the brainchild of Annabelle El Fanj, who gathers intricate and delicious, organic, hand-made, and seasonal Lebanese products. The company specializes in representing, importing, distributing, and selling a variety of fine, Lebanese food.
Her love for all things authentic started from when she was a little girl as every Sunday, her father used to bring home goat cheese and yogurt from Akkar, a region in the North of Lebanon, where ancient history and rich rural landscapes fuse together. The family would then produce the most incredible, smooth, creamy, luscious labneh, the soft cheese that has been part of the traditional Lebanese cuisine for eons. Born of those happy memories eating delicious authentic food with family later formed the idea for Jarra as a way to share these experiences with others.
Jarra, Arabic for ‘jar’ brings together authentic products of Lebanon that have been part of Levantine cuisine for centuries. Exquisitely produced with the same ancestral techniques passed through generations of makers, the products promise the closest taste to our upbringing memories; perhaps even better!
