Dana Kamal started D Bloom Birds Ceramics out of a home studio in 2019. What began as a small, sentimental project to create a porcelain gift for her husband on their 20th wedding anniversary (‘china’ anniversary) blossomed into a new career as a ceramicist.
Her pieces reflect recurring themes of beauty and vulnerability in resilience, and strength in fragility in both the context of our external and our internal landscape. Dana has exhibited at the annual SIKKA Art Festival in the Fahidi Historical District, works with art consultants and interior designers and takes private commissions. She was the winner of the Dubai Ceramics Prize in Design Week 2021.
