Dubai Design Week’s head of programming, Rawan Kashkoush takes to the stage during the 7th edition of Beirut Design Week.
The talk and networking event ‘Design In Dubai’ takes place as part the Talks and Panel Discussion programme on Tuesday 26 June which will explore a range of topics including creative cities and the business of design. Dubai’s contribution to the programme aims to reinforces the strong creative links and dialogue between the Dubai and Beirut and the two design weeks.
The Design in Dubai presentation will cover areas such as city creative economy, opportunities for designers in the city and points of access to of the rapidly expanding city’s creative and business networks. The session will also include an overview of programming and activity planned for this year’s Dubai Design Week, 12-17 November.
A key focus for the event is on the opportunities Dubai presents designers, particularly through the Dubai Design Week’s initiatives such as Downtown Design and the introduction of Downtown Editions for 2018. It will also cover competitions and awards for designers in the region, in particular the third running of the annual Audi Innovation Award, the winner of which will be announced during Dubai Design Week.
