Designed by Setareh Shaman, the Royal College of Art (RCA) graduate marries design and technology, to map a user’s digital footprints and provide individuals with remote access to their online posts, giving them the ability to remove personal content they no longer wish to share, regardless of the platform through which their information is being distributed.
The project challenges the existing notion that digital content must be perpetually available and accessible to all, placing control back in the hands of web and social app users.
Di.tectproposes an information rights management system—enabling individuals to retract information they no longer wish to share, offering control over online presence and encouraging social responsibility on the web.
