Dubai launches Driverless Car Strategy

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai has launched the Dubai Autonomous Transportation Strategy which aims to transform Dubai into 25 percent autonomous by 2030 and is projected to save AED 22 billion in yearly economic costs.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai has launched the Dubai Autonomous Transportation Strategy which aims to transform Dubai into 25 percent autonomous by 2030 and is projected to save AED 22 billion in yearly economic costs.

The Dubai Autonomous Transportation Strategy will see a 44% reduction in transportation costs, 12% reduction in carbon emissions and 12% reduction in accidents as well as an overall rise in individual productivity by reducing the numbers of hours wasted in conventional transportation by 396 hours annually. It will also reduce the spaces allocated for parking.
