MONOGRAM debuts their contemporary jewellery collection 'Escaping Flatland'; multidimensional visual forms made from 18K gold that tell the story of UAE’s development through its people.
Carrying on with the theme of ‘ESCAPING FLATLAND’ but this time adding a new collection that takes the theme further, and specially for this Dubai Design Week 2016, Monogram introduces statistical jewellery; multidimensional visual forms that tell the story of the UAE’s development through its people.
The designs transform statistical information about the UAE from paper into three-dimensional sculptures that enable the people to observe features that are otherwise hidden in mathematical data, and be able to interact with the forms and textures so they can tell their own story of how they relate to this information.
Monogram through these designs seek to contribute to the UAE’s success by shedding the light on the country’s historical achievements, and so reflecting a deeper apprieciation of the UAE’s past and great expectations for its future. The "Escaping Flatland" exhibition is showcased at Bloomingdale's Fine Jewellery Department.
