The Engage Works pop up at the d3 lounge will enable you to explore the latest in creative technology, including the ability to have meetings in VR, interact with holograms and get up close and personal with 3D printed Fashions.
Engage Works will be curating a sample of their innovation lounge, Flux, at Design District (d3) for the first time in Dubai, with a new pop-up experience located at the d3 lounge, starting Monday 23rd October, in conjunction with Design Week.
Flux is a space that gives leading minds a chance to get hands-on with the latest, emerging technologies and invites visitors to explore the future with the newest, game-changing approaches to using technology in a creative manner.
Your experience at the d3 lounge will offer the opportunity to experience the HTC VIVE with the latest app, enabling meetings to happen in virtual reality across the globe and be one of the first in Dubai to try out the new Microsoft HoloLens. Truly game-changing, the Microsoft’s HoloLens is redefining how we see the world, and is set to disrupt whole industries and change the future of computing. The HoloLens projects 3D holograms on to reality that can then be viewed in 360 degrees, interacted with and has audio to match. You may even get the chance to meet Flux’s emotional robot Nao, who can recite stories and does tai chi!
Also on display will be a 3-D printed dress by fashion house Heisel, made of NinjaFlex filament and Novalia – a poster that responds to touch with music and sound, as well as the Rattle, which delivers real time interactive experiences using the latest innovations in facial recognition, 3D animation and Augmented Reality. All of these will be on display along with many other creative technologies.
Engage Works’s Head of Innovation, Amelia Kallman - who will be hosting the lounge- says “Flux is a space for ideas that inspires conversation and the exploration of the ‘art of the possible’. Join us on a journey of creative technology that is shaping our world and will be part of our daily lives before we know it.”
The d3 lounge is located on the ground floor of building 3 and will be open from 12pm-9pm on 24 October, 10am to 9pm on 25-28 October and 9am to 6pm on 29 October.
