London calling! Today, travel and food blogger Shaima Al-Tamimi from Abu Dhabi/Doha will take over our Instagram account to explore Zaha Hadid’s legacy in the London. Called ‘Queen of curve’ by The Guardian, Zaha Hadid’s architectural spirit still shapes the British capital- even after her death in 2016.

Shaima’s route will take us from ‘The Magazine’ at the Serpentine Gallery, over the Zaha Hadid Gallery to the Science Museum. At the Gallery, the exhibition ‘ZHA Unbuilt’ featuring a selection of unrealised designs and showcasing the ambitious and expanding repertoire, is still going on.

Iraqi-British Hadid originally studied mathematics at the American University of Beirut, before moving to London and joining the Architectural Association School. In 1979 she founded Zaha Hadid Architects and completed her first building the very same year. Since then, she gained international reputation for being the greatest female architect in the world.
