For Dubai Design Week 2015, graphic and type designer Lara Assouad led a hands-on exploration of structure, proportion and repetition in Arabic letters through the creation of experimental modular letterforms using cut-outs, stamps, stencils and other manual methods.
Dubai Design Week captured Lara Assouad on film as part of the 'Portraits' film series which profiled some of the many players involved in the inaugural event.
The winner of the Jameel Prize ( Victoria and Albert Museum and Art Jameel) will be announced on Wednesday 8 June 2016.
