Over the last 6 days of October, d3 became an ‘open museum’ of design, with a cultural programme catering to all ages and interests. Taking advantage of the remarkable educational opportunity were the Emirates’ designers of the future, more than 750 students from 20 schools and universities, who benefited from dedicated guide-led tours and curator presentations.

Among the schools and universities was Zayed University, Abu Dhabi. Ann-Maree Reaney, Dean of College of Arts and Creative Enterprises, commented: “What a fabulous opportunity you have afforded students in the UAE. We are very interested in connecting our students with industry and enabling our students to be at the forefront within that creative design industry. Some of the projects developed were exceptional, so innovative and challenging. Great opportunity for our CACE students to see cutting edge design solutions..”

The students really enjoyed the visit, it was varied and rich in content. As faculty we value opportunities like these as they provide our students with the exposure they need for the development of their careers as interior Designers. The UAE just got a little more exciting within the design world!” added Marco Sosa and Lina Ahmad of Zayed University, Dubai.
