Marina Home announces shortlist of finalists competing for the coveted title of '2016 Marina Design Star.'
Marina Home announced the 10 finalists for Project Remake 2.0 on June 22 at the Marina Homes Showroom, Mall of the Emirates.
Competing for the coveted '2016, Marina Design Star’ title, students from the American University in Dubai, Zayed University, Heriot Watt University, Manipal University were asked to reconstruct this year's Canvas Product: a reclaimed wood and metal side table.
This year's 10 finalists include: Manipal University's AbdulGhani Ansari and Samia Afrah; Heriot Watt University's Sengul Hassan, Zarfeen Hameed, Halah Ashraff, Maheen Khan, Reem Soliman and Anam Shakeel; AUD's Laurdy Ghorayeb and Shamma Al Falasi from Zayed University.
The winning designer will be announced September 27th and will be awarded a three-month long internship at industry pioneer Schwitzke Group’s headquarters in Dusseldorf, Germany.
