Dubai Design District (d3) is set to present the first chapter in a nomadic exhibition that features 10 Emirati designers during Milan Design Week.
This first show – with two further chapters planned for London in September and as part of Dubai Design Week in November – is entitled ‘Emirati Landscape: Flora, Fauna and Soil’ which will highlight current design practices and materials informed by the landscape of the Emirates.
The three-part exhibition series, curated by Emirati product designer Khalid Shafar, aims to highlight design talent from across the country, with part one showcasing current design pieces, artworks and projects, all of which for will appear in Milan for the first time.
The show is open Tuesday 17 April-Sunday 22 April as part of the sprawling programme of design activity across the city of Milan called Fuorisalone, which coincides with the world-famous Milan Furniture Fair, or Salone.
