Design Ras AlKhor (DRAK) is a collective design initiative established in 2015 in Dubai and founded by four UAE based designers: Khalid Shafar, Khulood Thani, Nadine Kanso, & Tarik Al Zaharna. DRAK’s objective is to draw attention to the potential of Ras AlKhor Industrial Area – one of the oldest in the city- as further creative district for Dubai. For its inaugural edition, DRAK will present five design projects spanning product, fashion, jewellery, architecture and food design. DRAK’s theme takes an environmental path to shed light on a key element of Dubai’s creek, Ras AlKhor Wildlife Sanctuary.
