This workshop aims at providing attendees with the ability to think in terms of 3D modeling and manufacturing and to take part in a hands-on learning of 3D design and printing.

Participants will get a chance to learn all there's to know about FDM 3D printing. This workshop provides comprehensive understanding of how 3D printing works and how-to setup, operate and troubleshoot a filament 3D printer. This workshop aims at providing attendees with the ability to think in terms of 3D modeling and manufacturing and to take part in a hands-on learning of 3D design and printing.

The session will start with a safety brief about the prototyping lab and the machines which will be used. Then participants will be shown how to design to print on the 3D printing machines.


This session is open for beginners or anyone interested in making.

Sikendar, is a maker who graduated from Heriot Watt University in Engineering and subsequently worked at design and fabrication labs in Dubai. He showed much interest in learning and conducting Machine workshops and is currently working with in5, where he aims to educate the people in Dubai with DIY culture.
