Suzanne Trocmé leads a journalism discussion and workshop in which leading journalists explore the design magazine industry, how it works and who does what. The business side will be explored as well as the production of good editorial content and how to become a successful journalist avoiding the pitfalls. The second half of the workshop will be hands on exploring the different disciplines the design magazine industry can offer.

Led by Suzanne Trocmé Editor at Large Wallpaper* magazine, the session features Max Fraser, Founder & Editor, London Design Guide; and Nadine Fares Kahil, Editor in Chief, Curve Magazine

Max Fraser works as a design commentator across the media of books, magazines, exhibitions, video, and events to broaden the conversation around contemporary design. He delivers content and strategy for a variety of public and private bodies in the UK and abroad. He worked as the Deputy Director of the London Design Festival from 2012-2015 where he continues as a consultant.
He is the author of several design books including DESIGN UK and DESIGNERS ON DESIGN, which he co-wrote with Sir Terence Conran. He owns Spotlight Press, a publishing imprint, recent titles include LONDON DESIGN GUIDE and DEZEEN BOOK OF IDEAS. As a journalist, he writes for publications including Financial Times, Blueprint, Frame and Disegno.

Nadine Kahil is currently the editor in chief at Curve Magazine. Kahil studied English Literature at the American University of Beirut and has over fifteen years of experience in the publishing industry, and is an experienced journalist. Khalil has worked on a wide range of magazines and digital platforms in Lebanon and the region, where she has specialized in the fields of architecture, art, fashion and design.

Suzanne Trocmé has written numerous books as well as contributing to the New York Times, Architectural Digest USA, France, Germany, Russia, and Italy, The Telegraph magazine, Interior Design magazine (as European Editor) and broadcasts on BBC Radio London.
