The American University in Dubai (AUD) and Swedish Wood aims to create a link between Scandinavian wood culture and Arabic design. AUD students – from the School of Architecture, Art and Design – were tasked toexchange ideas, design, and develop a piece of furniture ordecoration made of Swedish softwood and adapted to Arab traditions and culture. The students’ work and winning design will be shown in an exhibition at the AUD campus (A Building, School of Architecture, Art and Design, from 25th-29th October, 9am to 6pm).
