28 October | 1 - 2.15pm
The Atrium, Building 4, Dubai Design District (d3)
Taking part in the Year of Reading in the UAE, this series of doll making workshops by Vinny Dolls takes its inspiration from the Kalila Wa Dimna fables' animals, exclusively developed for this year's Dubai Design Week.
Teenagers aged between 13 and 18, will be introduced to the magical world of doll making through these fun workshops. The characters from the fables were carefully selected to appeal to kids and teenagers, and to ignite their imagination and creativity. They learn how to stuff and decorate large doll heads, which can be used as cushions or playful masks.
Kalila wa Dimna is an enchanting collection of animal fables that carry morals that promote justice, friendship, wisdom and prudence. The tales are told through animals such as jackals, crows, owls, rabbits, lions and bulls.
Ages 13 - 18 yrs
Seats are limited. Pre-registration is necessary; please contact Vinny Dolls at [email protected] to register.
