For the first edition of the Mirzam Design Series, chocolate makers have worked in collaboration with Emirati designer and photographer Sheikha Wafa Hasher Al Maktoum.

Considered one of the most talented designers in the UAE, Sheikha Wafa’s creativity has been taken beyond the studio, to create both a unique recipe and use it as the inspiration for developing the paper wrapper.

The recipe created features toasted and lightly broken sesame seeds, then infused with orange oil. Watch the chocolate bars being made in the museum style factory, and experience each step of the production process before each bar is wrapped by hand in the signature geometric mashrabiya style designs.
