Dr. Nikolaos Mavridis PhD

The discussion will revolve around a personal voyage in creating Intelligent Robots and bringing them to interact with worldwide audiences, as well as glimpses of the bigger picture - the global voyage - the debate on possible futures for humanity, given the rapid advances and potential widespread application of artificial intelligent systems.

Nikolaos Mavridis is the founder and director of the Interactive Robots and Media Lab (IRML), and a PhD graduate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research interests include human-robot interaction and especially verbal and non-verbal communication with robots, artificial intelligence, machine perception, and cognitive systems.
