Explore some of the most beautiful and cherished traditional Emirati crafts: Khoos, Telli, and Sadu. Skillfully handmade by local craftswomen, the Emirati crafts are sustained to our very day. “Khoos” is handwoven palm tree leaves traditionally used as home and dinning mats and baskets. "Telli" is a braided metallic and silk thread that was used to adorn Emirati women's clothes. "Sadu" is a hand-woven natural thread material traditionally used to make Bedouin tents. Al Ghadeer UAE Crafts collaborates with designers and artists to produce culturally inspired contemporary products handmade by the craftswomen to empower women and preserve traditional crafts. Visit Al Ghadeer UAE Crafts workshop at the Makers Space to see how these authentic Emirati crafts are made and try it out for yourself!

For the Year of Giving, Al Ghadeer UAE Crafts has launched the #GhadeerAlKhair trolley to go on a journey promoting the handmade creations made by local craftswomen. Come and see their creations in the Making Space during Dubai Design Week.
