To celebrate the launch of the MONTROI nomad guide to Dubai, the brand hosts a photo exhibition at its flagship studio in Dubai Design District.

13 November – 31 December | 10am - 7pm
Ground Floor, Building 7, Dubai Design District (d3)

To celebrate the launch of the MONTROI nomad guide to Dubai, the brand hosts a photo exhibition at its flagship studio in Dubai Design District. Guests can re-discover Dubai through the lense of different MONTROI nomad contributors who reveal hidden places in the most cosmopolitan city in the world. Guests will be able to get a printed version of the city guide.

Contributors include Zeinab Alhashemi. On Tuesday 14 November 6.30pm there will be an installation at the studio by Zeinab Alhashemi to celebrate nomadism through art, design and craftmanship. Artist statement:

"Nomads are wanderers. I tend to use the same way of wandering around in search of inspiration, meeting individuals, seeking the same visions and different stories. In my search, I wanted to revisit artisans I worked with in the past and bring in a different perspective of their craft. The artwork is displayed in an incomplete form to capture the beauty of the process. It shows a half made “Gargour”, an Emirati term for fish traps. Our eyes are used to overseeing things while they are in the process of happening, such as the construction of buildings and roads in our day to day life in the city. The installation, in a sacred geometry layout from ancient design is an invitation to connectivity and unity."
