New for 2018, the Design Souk is the beating heart of the weekend programme, acting as a festival destination for visitors in d3’s busiest strip for restaurants and cafes.

Staged by Ripe Market, the Design Souk is a festival of design, retail food an live events on d3's busiest strip of cafes and restaurants. The market is a unique opportunity to buy well-designed products and accessories as well as enjoying live cooking stations and activities, DJs, performances and workshops.

The programme, specially designed for children includes a series of arts and craft activities, such as fun robotics, origami and slime-making. Music throughout the weekend will be provided by DJs, with live music performances from the Neighbours on Friday.

Alongside the Design Souk is the Making Space - Dubai Design Week's pop-up studio offering a programme of activities led by a wide group of UAE-based, regional and international designers and professional creatives. Workshops include 3D car design and print, and the opportunity to make your own products.
