Tanween design programme is for emerging practitioners. As the deadline to enter the 2019 edition approaches, this talk looks back on the journeys of three Tanween alumni including Rand Abdul Jabbar and Hamza Omari.

It’s been five years since Tanween first stepped into the spotlight with pieces designed by emerging practitioners following nine months of intensive study, research and experimentation. In that time, Tashkeel has invested in 17 designers from 9 countries, resulting in 28 designed pieces that articulate the design language of the UAE.

This talk is part of Design + Making UAE presented by Tashkeel.
