Participants created their own Arabic Font using their surroundings and everyday items in this workshop hosted by Sharabassy Built-Environment Studio.

Participants learnt how to create and design a unique Arabic type using different materials and objects, sketches and their own eye-catching photographs.

They were able to create Arabic Font using their surroundings and everyday items. They created forms using craft materials, pictures of forms they like, and then scanning and uploading them digitally on to their laptop. The trainer guided them on how to cut the images to create the forms. At the end, their font set would be complete.

DSLR cameras or current IOS/Android phones with high-quality cameras were recommended.
