Making Space returns for its third edition providing Dubai Design Week audiences with the opportunity to register for instructor-led workshops and get hands-on experience in the process behind design through ‘making’.
The workshops are conducted by UAE-based, regional and international designers and aim to develop the practical skills of professionals and design enthusiasts. Weekday focused workshops vary from pattern and risograph printing to interior mood board designing, up-cycling with fabric, design thinking and much more.
The children’s programme is an integral part of Making Space. During the weekend, families and children are invited to register for a variety of workshops including recycling plastic bags through thermoforming, making holiday decorations, creating giant origami animals, opera masks and embroidered sketchbooks as well as designing prototypes to solve real-world problems related to food and climate.
