Children got to experiment with the principles of interior design, colour theory, and how to make their dream home in this workshop held by Sharabassy Built Environment Studio.

Interior design is made into a crafts-based workshop for children. Using prototyping and crafts materials, the children exploted, made a moodboard, and went home with their own interior design project!

They learnt about colour theory and understand how colours work together. They got to know uses such as what warm/cool colours are usually used for.

They also explored styles of interior design (modern, country, bohemian etc) and experimented with different elements of rooms (living room furniture, bedroom furniture etc).

The children brainstormed with the trainer and chose their colours and style to create a moodboard. After that, they used the materials provided to create a room in a house or an entire house. They went home having created what they want "their home" to look and feel like.

Children were encouraged to bring their ipads or tablets.

Recommended for ages 8+
