A sketching session for all skill levels around the installations at Dubai Design Week. Manupriam Seth lead the Urban Sketchers to capture these in their sketchbooks to create a unique sketch report on the installations.

Design installations are the highlight of Dubai Design Week 2019, showcasing the collaborative work of designers and curators bringing the best to the courts and lanes of d3. These installations evoke emotions - they have a story to tell - a context to fulfil. Installations and the spaces around them form one cohesive environment which all visitors experience. Urban Sketchers related to this experience and shared the joy through their sketches, drawn on location.

Manupriam Seth lead the Urban Sketchers to capture these in their sketchbooks to create a unique sketch report around the installations to be shared with the world.

Sketchers were required to bring their own sketching materials. The sketches were shared at the end of the session at 5 pm.

About Urban Sketchers

Started in January of 2015, Urban Sketchers Dubai is an official chapter of the International Urban Sketchers Organistion. The group has covered more than 250 locations across Dubai in last four and half years, and captured a variety of sketches. These sketches are shared on their Instagram and Facebook pages. Sketchers from varied nationalities, age groups and a variety of fields have joined the group, with more than 250 sketchers who have sketched with the group at some time. The group meets every Friday evening (4-6pm) at a pre arranged spot. All skill levels are welcome to join.
