Children of all ages got the chance to plant seeds of the UAE’s national tree – the Ghaf – at this free, hands-on activity with Goumbook’s popular Give a Ghaf program.

Kids listened to some fascinating facts about this remarkable desert tree and then got planting themselves: They filled their pot with soil, put in the seed and took plenty of pictures with their pot and fun props! Their seed will then start its journey to a plant nursery in Al Dhaid where it starts to grow into a beautiful sapling. Once it is big enough, it will be re-planted into its forever home in one of the UAE’s natural landscapes. If kids signed up for the planting activity using Goumbook's QR code, they will receive an official e-certificate.

Activities took place on the ground floor of building 9 (opposite Akiba Dori) and were on a first-come-first-serve basis up to a max of 10 participants, no pre-registrations were required.
