A showcase dedicated to ceramics, ‘Ceramatastic’ aimed to shed light on the craft and its makers, featuring a range of works and creatives from in the UAE.

Showcasing the growing interest in clay culture in the region, 16 finalists of the applicants to the 5th Dubai Ceramic Award by American University of Dubai were featured in the space, alongside works by Faissal El-Malak, Michael Rice, and Tamara Barrage.

Celebrating the golden jubilee of the UAE, Yadawei Ceramic Studio showcased works created by talented Yadawei members all created by hand with clay, inspired by the people, landscapes and rich heritage of the UAE.

Throughout the week, the space was activated with workshops and demonstrations on the potter’s wheel and featured both finished and conceptual works, alongside insights into the process, tools and time that goes into working with ceramics.
