Participants created their own clay pottery with a touch of Emirati Safeefah; the craft of weaving palm fronds.

In this workshop, participants added their own creative touches in clay pottery while also reflecting on the beauty of the 'Safeefah and Gold Casting' by the jewellery designer, Alia Bin Omair, inspired by Safeefah.

About Hirfati

Hirfati is an initiative by Irthi Contemporary Crafts Council, an organization affiliated with NAMA Women Advancement Establishment, targeting children and youth aged 6-18 years. The workshops offered by Hirfati focus on the Emirati crafts “Talli” and “Safafah” and aim to raise awareness and knowledge of cultures and crafts.
