NYUAD – Plastic Recycling Research Lab
Participants learned to recycle plastic into fabric and used that to create beautiful and durable products like coin purses.
Every year, between 500 billion and a trillion plastic bags are used around the world. Disposable plastic bags can be convenient and inexpensive, but nowadays they are a major source of waste in the world and end up in landfills and oceans, polluting the environment and killing wildlife.
During this free workshop, tools and other materials were provided and participants brought their own plastic bags to upscale.
