This barza was a discussion over the topic of design production and funding, it highlighted manufacturing and design production journeys in the UAE.

In this first session of ‘Meet the UAE Creatives’, a new modular programme of panels, dialogues and stories shared by product designers, architects and field experts in the setting of a ‘Barza’ addressed how designers succeed in producing locally today, looking at the existing design fund programmes and support for designers to experiment in the UAE.

Emphasized on building a connection between the audience and invited speakers routed towards more informal discussions, this session engaged its participants through a ‘Barza Quiz’ activity.

Speakers included Senior Designer, Layth Mahdi and Product Designer, Lina Ghalib, Textile Designer, Hessa Al Suwaidi and Architect and Designer, Omar Al Gurg.
