Participants were invited to share memorable dreams from their memory that were still fresh in their minds, and to interpret such dreams symbolically throughout the session.

Dreams are portals between the multiverses, they take us to realms the live within us and without. There are no defined boundaries once you step into that reality, it blurs lines between the real and the imaginary. This what makes them channels to various type of messages that try to communicate with our psyche. This workshop invited participants to recall significant dreams that are vivid in their memories and translate that in symbolic form. With their sketches and personal connection to the dream, each participant related to the powerful messages of their dreams and then carved their symbols and scenes into a lino block. The final artwork was a print made by lino-cut printmaking.

About the Artist:

Nassra Al Buainain is a multidisciplinary artist, born and based in Abu Dhabi. Nassra works with various mediums and disciplines including painting, printmaking, and written form. Her work explores the notion of spirituality in the human experience; through deconstructed forms she translates the metaphysical existence in relation to time and space. Nassra’s practice as a Spiritual Coach and an Energy Healer, informs her creations. She communicates universal codes through sacred geometry and symbolism, manifesting it with an intention to converse with the collective consciousness.
