RIBA Gulf Chapter and American University of Sharjah (AUS)
Participants learned innovative strategies and engage in design exercises to tackle Gulf region sustainability issues.
Led by Jason Carlow, Associate Professor and Head of Architecture at the American University of Sharjah, this workshop encouraged participants to rethink the future of the UAE's industrial areas by focusing on ecological and social sustainability. The workshop started with a lecture introducing innovative academic strategies and then guided young professionals through a design exercise, helping them address sustainability challenges in the Gulf region.
