“Al Thara” and "Althuraya" are a collection that celebrates the rich Emirati heritage and the Gulf region by drawing inspiration from the traditional 'Al Mandoos' box.

Althara:

The main feature of the display cabinet is the subtle pattern formed by intricate gradient studs that are derived from the delicate interplay between the 'Al Mandoos' pattern and the sand dune silhouette. The use of sustainable wood as the storage material creates a visually captivating and environmentally conscious display cabinet. Incorporating adjustable shelves or compartments within the display cabinet maximizes the functionality and accommodates different items. The recycled glass legs forming round elements adds visual interest as well as contribute to the overall balance of the design

Althuraya:

Preserving the structure of the "Al Mandoos" box and repurposing it as both storage and seating, offers a versatile solution. The addition of a sustainable aluminum leg, influenced by the lock of the box, adds a crucial element to the overall design. The use of sustainable wood as the structure promotes sustainability and ensures durability. The pull-out storage with gradient studs, inspired by the "Al Mandoos" pattern as well as the sand dune silhouette, adds authenticity to the product.

Al Thara and Althuraya will be featured at the UAE Designer Exhibition, supported by Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture)
