“LOCAL CULTURES IN GLOBAL SETTINGS”: Iris Ceramica Group’s journey exploring the world of design and multiculturality, with an international contest and a cycle of events, comes to Dubai for the Dubai Design Week.

Iris Ceramica Group presents THE BIG CHALLENGE, a deliberately oversized table tennis installation that allows multiple players to engage simultaneously in a game.

Designed by UAE Modern, this unique installation is made from large porcelain stoneware slabs manufactured by Iris Ceramica Group and featuring the geometric pattern designs of architect Niko Kapa, winner of ‘Local Cultures in Global Settings’, an international competition by the Group and UAE Modern to foster the exploration of unique cultural roots in a global discourse.
