Sahar Hafda at the Urban Hives
Children transformed everyday discarded items into cozy birdhouses, using paper.
Participants experienced the magic of transformation in this workshop, as children created paper objects repurposing everyday discarded items into birdhouses, led by Sahar Hafda.
This workshop was hosted at the Urban Hives, an installation by Nathalie Harb that proposes to create community gardens atop parking spaces.
The Urban Hives activation program consisted of a series of talks, workshops, and events, ran in partnership with the Dubai Institute of Design and Innovation (DIDI), and curated by Joanne Hayek.
Workshop participants were invited to bring a box they would like to recycle (a gift or a shoe box, a juice box, milk bottle, or whatever shape they would love to transform).
