Huda Al-Aithan's light piece explores human connection through mirrored, intertwined forms, symbolizing inner light and the enduring power of genuine relationships, while inviting viewers to contemplate the beauty of connections, transcending differences, in a captivating, unexhibited work.

For this project, Huda Al-Aithan introduces a light piece composed of two mirrored and vertically offset parts that gracefully embrace each other, evoking the profound theme of human connection. Inspired by the intertwining bonds between friends, lovers, and the harmonious interplay of past and present, this creation weaves a timeless story through the repetition of the same form. The linear light elements in the piece symbolize the inner light that illuminates souls and serves as a conduit for genuine connections, aligning individuals on the same frequency and enlightening one another.

Drawing inspiration from the lotus flower, the curves of this design elegantly abstract the delicate petals, infusing the work with spiritual significance and purity. The lotus' enduring ability to grow in muddy waters without being tainted serves as a metaphor for authentic connections that remain untainted by surrounding circumstances. This light installation stands as a testament to the enduring power of real human connections that transcend any external influences, shining brightly amidst the murkiest of environments. Standing tall as a vertical wall accent light, the piece's overall dimensions measuring 115 cm by 39 cm create a captivating presence that captures the imagination. Crafted from a combination of carved wood and 3D printed plastic with a reflective metallic finish, these materials engage in a conversation between two different aesthetics that ultimately connect through the inner light they emit and the graceful form they embody. This interplay of materials highlights the idea that authentic human connections can transpire even between the most unlikely of pairs, transcending differences to form a harmonious whole.

Viewers are invited to contemplate the beauty of human relationships, their infinite possibilities, and the transformative power of genuine connections. The piece is currently in the prototyping phase and has not been exhibited elsewhere.
