O-Collection combines sustainable, multi-functional designs using post-consumer plastic waste, fostering a dialogue on sustainable material choices and ocean conservation.

Every year around 12 million metric tons of plastic waste infiltrate the world’s oceans, posing a significant threat to marine and terrestrial ecosystems. With the aim of promoting sustainable material choices, raising awareness and igniting conversation within the local creative industry, O-Collection makes an appearance once again, this time integrating sustainable materials into its minimalistic and multi-coloured sheet panels, entirely derived from post-consumer plastic waste, such as plastic bottles, yogurt functional designs.

In collaboration with Smile Plastics, the collection features sustainable, multi-appearance once again, this time integrating sustainable materials into its minimalistic and multi-pots and refrigerators. They are used in the o-piece’s compartment and shelving, as well as the o-stool's shelving units. The upholstered seats and backrests feature “Oceanic” by Camira, an innovative upholstery material, where each meter of fabric contains the equivalent of 26 plastic bottles, effectively repurposing these materials that would otherwise end up polluting the ocean. By intertwining positive social impact, multi-functional and forward-thinking designs, and supporting sustainable material suppliers, we ignite a compelling dialogue and exploration, delving into the boundless possibilities and future living spaces.

O-Collection: Re-Plastic Edition will be featured at the UAE Designer Exhibition, supported by Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture)
