Participants designed and printed their own unique wall-hanging rug by applying a blend of traditional techniques like silk printing, stamping, and stencil making
While exploring various print methods, such as silk printing, stamping, and stencils, participants created their own elements, and laid out and designed their own wall hanging-printed rug. Participants created their own motifs and elements using traditional tools and methods and then printed them on fabric to create their own wall-hanging rug using different techniques such as stamping, stencils, and silk printing, a sophisticated surface printing technique. They cut off their designs out of paper and then printed them by rubbing, rolling, or spraying paint or ink through the cut-out areas. Participants learned about different types of patterns, compositions, and layouts.
