Inspired by the Urban Hives installation, involves collaborative mapping of Dubai's transportation transformation into green hubs with DIDI's students and alumni playing key roles in various aspects.

Drawing inspiration from the Urban Hives pavilion where it's held, the workshop seeks to collaboratively map Dubai's transformation of transportation infrastructures into green hubs, leveraging dual-use of space, regenerative systems, and community engagement.

Guided by DIDI's Professors Joanne Hayek and Mirko Daneluzzo, the Mapathon is carried out by DIDI's multidisciplinary design students and alumni, assuming roles as Mappers, Coders, Data Analysts, and 3D Modelers.

The Urban Hives, a project by Nathalie Harb, proposes to convert parking areas into community gardens. Its activation program features talks, workshops and events collaboratively organized with DIDI's FutureCityLab and curated by Joanne Hayek.
