Ithra’s immersive design residency featured projects that blended art, design, and interactive experiences.

Ithra’s Creative Solutions residency invited audiences into a transformative exploration of immersive technology, merging art, design, and storytelling through innovative mediums like augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), mixed reality (MR), immersive audio, and haptics. This unique, four-month residency celebrated cutting-edge design by offering artists and designers the tools to push the boundaries of narrative and interaction.

The exhibition presented six projects that challenged perceptions of reality, blending sensory elements with digital landscapes to create an interactive experience:

  • Mirage (2024) – Naima Karim
  • The Hidden Loom (2024) – Enam Banaja, Bara Siddiq, Arwa Alhawsawi
  • Qafilah (2024) – Nahla Al-Harbi, Hamdi Al-Harbi
  • Surrounded Serenity (2023) – Malak Quota, Pixel Hunters
  • Revive (2022) – Fatimah Aldubaisi, Layla Aldubaisi, Zainab Abuabdullah, Zainab Aljishi
  • Sensing Beyond the Frame (2022) – Dana Alsaad, Raghad Alqahtani

Each project, a synthesis of creative vision and immersive technology, invited visitors to step into new realms — expanding the boundaries of storytelling and offering a fresh perspective on how narratives can be experienced and interacted with.
