Design Doha featured a dedicated interactive reading lounge to present the Arab Design Now publication, showcasing a curated selection of contemporary designers from the Gulf, Levant, and North Africa. The book was an outcome of the inaugural edition of the Design Doha Biennial 2024, an event held every two years to research and represent the richness of MENA culture and creativity, while highlighting the exceptional design environment of Qatar on the global stage.

About Design Doha:

Design Doha, a platform for local, regional, and global design excellence. Established by Qatar Museums under the leadership of its Chairperson, Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the initiative is comprised of design exhibitions, commissions, and associated programming.

Projects are developed in close collaboration with local institutions such as M7, Liwan, VCU Qatar, and Msheireb Properties, as well as international partners, establishing a strong base of support and fostering a sense of community ownership. The event is held every two years, providing an ongoing focus for the rising energy of Qatar’s creative sector.
