The c(AI)rcle V Pentagon by Gencork & Spectroom

Gencork and Spectroom presented a generative design installation. Gencork, a Portuguese brand specializing in creative cork solutions, explores the relationship between sustainable materials, generative computation, and advanced manufacturing processes. They unveiled c(AI)rcle, an art/design installation made from expanded black cork, designed by Spectroom and co-created with artificial intelligence. Inspired by biometrics, c(AI)rcle features a wavelike structure that appears to defy physical constraints.

Taraf is an interdisciplinary design studio engaged in architecture, interiors, product design, and the arts. Operating as a research-driven consultancy, its projects are characterized by contextual relevance and authentic exploration. The studio seeks to create emotive experiences that resonate with the identity of each space.

Viúva Lamego, established in 1849, is a leading tile manufacturer in Portugal and an ambassador of Portuguese culture globally, known for its iconic public art and architectural projects. The factory serves as an open space for artistic collaboration with renowned artists and architects, blending traditional artisanal techniques with innovative approaches focused on sustainability. The art piece "Perfectly Imperfect," inspired by the Japanese Wabi-Sabi philosophy, featured a dynamic arrangement of colorful tiles, celebrating beauty in randomness and spontaneity. Artist Nassin Nasr explores a style he calls "Expressive Color Minimalism," merging Abstract Expressionism and Minimalism to convey depth through simplicity. Presentations covered Viúva Lamego's materials and processes, alongside discussions on heritage, culture, and the influence of contemporary art on the Fine Crafts market.
