The History of Design Pop-Up offered an immersive look at design and innovation, inspired by the book Design – The Whole Story. This event showcased curated items from the university’s Concept Library, which were integral to the "History of Design" course.
Visitors engaged with real artifacts that illustrated design's impact on modern solutions and technologies. As a leader in multidisciplinary education, the institution focused on Product Design, Fashion Design, Multimedia Design, and Strategic Design Management, emphasizing hands-on, experiential learning to prepare students for future careers.
The unique pop-up museum featured curated pieces and a walk-through lecture series, guiding participants through historical design solutions while also exploring how technology and AI were shaping the future of design.
About DIDI:
The Dubai Institute of Design and Innovation (DIDI) is a non-profit institution focused on training a new generation of designers to innovate socially, digitally, and creatively. Located in Dubai Design District (d3), DIDI emphasizes experiential learning through hands-on projects and offers a curriculum developed in collaboration with MIT and Parsons School of Design. Students engage in multiple design concentrations—Product, Multimedia, Fashion Design, and Strategic Design Management—while gaining practical skills and insights from a diverse faculty, preparing them for a dynamic design landscape.
