Over the past fifteen years, the Fatima Bint Mohamed Bin Zayed Initiative has focused on sustainability in its mission to empower low-income Afghans, particularly women. The Initiative provides sustainable income sources and opportunities through education, social development, medical care, clean water, and economic reforms.

To date, it has employed over 8,000 Afghans, with 70% being women, including 35% who are widows and sole breadwinners for their families. The health and education programs have facilitated the attendance of over 20,000 children in local schools and provided healthcare to more than 200,000 individuals and their families. Overall, over 1,000,000 people have benefited from the Initiative’s services.
