Immersed in the sea's depths, the space featured curved walls, soft lighting, and sounds of water, creating a serene sensory experience
Commissioned by RAK Ceramics, The Shape of Water was inspired by the mysterious depths of the sea. Visitors were guided through soft, curved walls and diffused lighting, evoking the feeling of being submerged underwater, where light mimicked the gentle ambiance of the deep ocean.
Lighting played a key role, with indirect illumination resembling bioluminescence, casting delicate shimmers over sand and ceramic surfaces. As visitors moved through the space, the lighting shifted, revealing hidden elements that invited further exploration. Accompanied by the soft sounds of water and waves, the installation deepened the sensory experience, encouraging contemplation of the ocean’s uncharted depths. Organic shapes and fluid forms evoked the sea’s natural rhythms, blending light, nature, and design into a serene, immersive journey.
